Key Responsibilities
The Senior Software Engineering Manager designs, builds, and maintains robust applications across the front end and the back end. The role blends hands on coding with people leadership. About 75 percent of your time will be spent building and shipping code. About 25 percent will focus on mentoring and guiding a small group of engineers. You will work across legacy C# and .NET as well as modern JavaScript, React, and Python, and you will help integrate AI and machine learning features into production systems.
Build and Ship Software
- Design, build, and maintain scalable applications across the front end and the back end.
- Support legacy C# and .NET while advancing JavaScript, React, and Python stacks.
- Implement secure services, APIs, and data models with clear patterns and tests.
- Follows best practices for SDLC and DevOps.
- Monitor reliability and performance and address production issues promptly.
Lead and Mentor Engineers
- Provide code reviews, technical guidance, and feedback that raise the quality bar.
- Coach a small group of engineers on design, testing, and release practices.
- Model strong engineering habits, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
Own Architecture and Quality
- Define architectural approaches that balance scalability, security, and cost.
- Establish and uphold standards for coding, testing, and release readiness.
- Plan work so deliverables meet scope, timeline, and quality goals.
Collaborate to Deliver Business Value
- Translate product goals into clear technical plans with product and design partners.
- Communicate tradeoffs and decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Coordinate releases and post release follow up to capture results and lessons.
Advance Innovation and AI Adoption
- Integrate practical AI features into production applications where they add value.
- Run small proofs of concept to evaluate new tools and frameworks.
- Share methods and workflows that expand the team’s AI and data capabilities.

- Experience: We are ideally seeking candidate with more than 10 years experience which at least 3 years should be in a management position. The experience we are seeking will be in full stack development across C# and .NET, JavaScript, React, and Python. Experience in product or client facing environments preferred. 3 to 5 years of management experience.
- Architecture and Systems: Proven ability to design scalable secure applications and services, with hands on experience of cloud deployment and containers.
- AI Integration: Hands on experience integrating practical AI or machine learning features into production applications.
- Leadership and Mentorship: Track record mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, and improving team practices.
- Delivery and Ownership: Demonstrated end to end ownership from design through deployment with predictable delivery.
- Code Quality: Writes maintainable well tested code with strong attention to performance reliability and security.
- Communication: Clear communicator who can explain technical tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Educational Background: Bachelor degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field required. Advanced degree preferred.
- Adaptability: Comfortable supporting legacy C# and .NET while advancing modern stacks in JavaScript React and Python.
This role involves a hybrid work setup, candidates are required to live in or near New York, NY.
