As an Electrical Engineer within Arup's Infra MEP team in Kuala Lumpur, you will play a key role in delivering electrical engineering solutions for major infrastructure projects across Malaysia and the wider region, with an emphasis on airport, rail, and transport developments. You will support project delivery through the preparation, coordination, and review of electrical engineering designs, technical documentation, and authority submissions. Working alongside senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams, you will further develop your technical expertise and project management capabilities while contributing to the successful delivery of complex projects.
The Opportunity
- Deliver electrical engineering design and coordination activities for infrastructure, airport, rail, and transport projects.
- Prepare electrical calculations, drawings, specifications, schedules, technical reports, and project-related correspondence.
- Support the design and delivery of LV and MV/HV systems, lighting, UPS, earthing, lightning protection, ELV, ICT, telecommunications, security, vertical transportation, and utility infrastructure systems.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, government authorities, utility providers, and multidisciplinary project teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Participate in site inspections, testing and commissioning reviews, technical assessments, risk identification, and continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery processes.
