Our Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate Senior Façade Engineer to competently conduct façade engineering projects of reasonable complexity. If you get excited and have experience in translating architectural concepts into detailed technical drawings that can be used for fabrication, construction, and installation then this will be a role for you.

In this role, you will accountable for the following:

• Assumes responsibility for management of small, medium and some large scale projects includingpricing, tender submissions, technical documentation, project scheduling and meeting deadlines and budgets.
• Applies a deep understanding of engineering principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions to problems.
• Produces designs, documentation, specifications, fee proposals, reports and other documentation to meet client requirements for projects of reasonable complexity.
• Manages small design team of façade engineers and drafters including planning allocation ofresources (including staff), and checking of work.
• Preparation of client reports.
• Liaises with less senior Engineers and drafters to enable preparation of façade documentation.
• Develops and maintains relationships with clients.
• Assists in the management and training of staff.
• Contributes to the overall management and profitability of projects.
• Ensures compliance with applicable Codes and policies in all aspects – e.g. WHS practices, Quality Assurance.
• Check facade Engineers’ works including calculations and designs.
• Any other tasks reasonably requested by a Director or Manager.

Who are we looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Ability to read and implement local state standards.
• Problem solving/analytical skills.
• Ability to interpret and communicate information of a more complex nature.
• Ability to lead and manage a small team.
• Develop ability to scheme up small to medium sized projects.
• Demonstrated project management skills to deliver on time, on budget and to client requirements.
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to advance own career including remaining up to date with advancements in engineering methodologies.
• Customer service oriented.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
