Responsibilities:
- To assist the Head of Department to lead and to manage IT operation and support team
- Responsible for supporting, maintaining and optimizing Infrastructure and Systems Operation. Handles fixes, enhancement, interfacing.
- To attend to any problems encountered in software and hardware for L2 and L3 in the most diligent manner and keep track of such incidents and the way they have been solved and within agreed SLA.
- Manage and involve in the development of the application system according to the system specification provided.
- Focus on departmental short term and long term goals.
- Creating and executing effective communication plans
- Ensure the appropriate applications of IT methodologies and standards in projects and lead continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
- Required language(s): English, Chinese, Bahasa Malaysia
- At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Required skill(s): JAVA J2SE or J2EE, JSP, ASP.NET, MYSQL, VB.NET and VB6
- Preferred skill(s): Hibernate, Spring Framework/ Struct, AJAX and Java Script
- Knowledge of XML and OO Programming
- Experience on Application, Web and Database server installation and configuration.
- Familiar with UNIX, LINUX, SOLARIS operating platform.
- Software development background or have managed software development project in-house.
- Confident and competent in scheduling projects.
- Resourceful, independent and result oriented.
- Strong skills in time management, planning, organizing, analytical and good team work.
- High attention to details and thoroughness in documentation is essential.
- A fast & willing learner with a pleasant personality.
- High pace. Possess high sense of urgency. Work based on deliveries.
- Able to use systematic approach in solving problems through analysis of problem and evaluation of alternate solutions.
- Experiences in domain, hosting, web security industries will be added advantages.
