The role of a Digital Marketing Executive is to reach our target audience by delivering both useful and appealing online information about our company, products and clients. You will be in charge of attracting site traffic, converting that traffic into new leads for the business, and nurturing those leads to close into customers, the latter of which sales leadership will help you accomplish. Work activities are listed as below but are not limited to:
Work Activities
- Researching industry-related topics
- Preparing well-structured drafts using digital word processing and publishing platforms
- Creating, copywriting, and distributing marketing copy for advertisement purposes
- Build and manage a rich content/editorial calendar that attracts qualified audience to our platforms
- Attending trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations to represent the company when needed
- Networking
- Identify customers’ needs and recommend new topics
- Coordinate with marketing and design team to illustrate articles
- Measure web traffic to content (e.g. conversion and bounce rates)
- Update the company’s website and social media platforms as needed
- Edit and proofread written pieces before publication
- Conduct keyword research and use SEO guidelines to optimize content
- Promote content on social networks and monitor engagement (e.g. comments and shares)
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Content Creator, Copywrite or similar role
- Portfolio of published articles would be an added advantage
- Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress)
- Excellent writing and editing skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- An ability to fact-check long-form content pieces
- Time-management skills
- Familiarity with SEO
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Journalism or relevant field
