A DAY IN THE LIFE OF

We are seeking an ambitious, driven and commercially astute leader to lead our future expansion plans. As a member of the Senior Management team, you will align with our TEAM values: Together, Extra-mile, Accountable and Mindful.

You will lead the commercial activities across all business units, driving both legacy properties and expansion activities to improve profitability across the group. You will be uniquely positioned and hold visibility across all departments and their financial performance. The role of the commercial team aims to utilise operational and financial data to create insightful analyses to solve or increase efficiency across all units and locations globally. 

The Head of Commercial will be at the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply strategies to drive sustainable financial growth by boosting sales and forging strong relationships with landlords to expand via our asset-light approach.

Directly reporting to our CEO, you will have a cross-functional role involving business development, financial modelling, forecasting, corporate finance and leading due diligence on company investment activities.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead expansion activities across all markets by building strong relationships with real estate brokers, pitching to landlords, developing and maintaining financial models, and negotiating with partners on asset-light agreements. 
  • Oversee and develop The Flexi Group's business development strategy across new and existing markets across Asia Pacific, Australia and beyond, including conducting risk analysis, preparing investment memorandums, forecasting and conducting relevant due diligence for M&A-related activities focusing on growth, customer satisfaction and financial gain.
  • Take ownership of revenue-generating activities across the group - including sales drives, promotion development, marketing activities, etc. 
  • Ensure that potential clients are tactfully contacted, arrange and conduct business meetings and lead presentations with prospective clients to increase The Flexi Group’s position in the market across APAC.
  • Oversee and conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
  • Benchmark and analyse current financial, operational and procedural business activities to drive strategy and increase business profitability, creating best practices and training team members on these practices to have a knowledgeable and strong team of commercially driven managers.
  • Oversee daily, weekly and monthly reviews and analyses of Key Performance Metrics using operational metrics and data analysis to build meaningful dashboards for the program using data visualisation tools.
  • Make decisions on and implement potential changes, strategies and business processes to senior management using analytics to support your recommendations.
  • Identify, make decisions on and develop growth opportunities within the industry and engage strategically alongside the different areas of the business to create a clear roadmap for execution for future expansion.
  • Maintain Databases and Performance Tracking Tools across all markets.
  • Promote the company's products and services, addressing or predicting clients' objectives.
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Work effectively with all teams in The Flexi Group to drive the business commercially forward in all areas.
  • Lead and guide the senior team to be commercially driven.


    EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
  • 10+ years experience in strategic level capacity, M&A business development, sales or a relevant role.
  • Prior experience in coworking, hospitality groups, large real estate or a high-growth startup business would be an advantage. 
  • Strong experience in business development, identifying prospective investment or acquisition opportunities, conducting relevant due diligence, preparing profitability reports and working with senior leadership to sign MOUs where relevant.
  • The right candidate will be exceptionally commercially driven, highly organised, able to manage multiple deals at once, thrive under pressure, and be personable with strong communication skills.
  • Clear and demonstrated experience in leading senior-level and c-suite-level investment presentations.
  • Regional APAC experience is a must.
  • Able to travel to multiple locations and countries.
  • MBA Holder with a background in Finance, Business, or a related field is preferable.
  • Highly proficient with Google Drive and Sheets.
  • Fluent in English.
