Business Development Director

Prevents Plus Sdn Bhd

This is a full-time on-site role for a Director of Business Development. The Director of Business Development will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks associated with business development including new business development, business planning, lead generation, contract negotiation, and account management. The responsibilities of the Director of Business Development also include collaborating with management to develop sales goals and strategies, identifying new market opportunities and trends, and partnering with other teams to ensure client-patient satisfaction.

Job Description

  • Lead the development and implementation of the Sales & Marketing Strategy and ensure alignment with the Strategic Plan to sustain business growth and profitability.
  • Oversee and direct Sales & Marketing leaders to ensure customer retention and develop relationships with existing and potential key customers effectively. Monitor sales metrics, track performance against targets, and provide regular reports to the Directors. Analyze sales data to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement. Develop and implement strategies to address performance gaps.
  • Lead in the development of sales mapping, forecast, and budgets in collaboration with the sales & and marketing team. Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team. Provide leadership, guidance, and support to sales managers, including setting sales targets, monitoring performance, conducting performance evaluations, and implementing training programs.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, product development, and operations, to align sales efforts with overall business goals. Provide input on product and service offerings, pricing strategies, and market positioning.
  • Lead, manage, and direct sales and marketing activities of the business to achieve strategic and operational objectives.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • 10-15 years of experience in sales and marketing
  • New Business Development, Business Planning, and Lead Generation skills
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Able to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners
  • Experience in healthcare, medical, or related industries is an added advantage
