ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for someone to manage and be responsible for the revenue and profit of the Agencies & Advertisers MSG at the country level. You will lead a team in developing new business, engaging with clients for renewals, and implementing sales strategies to ensure a consistent sales pipeline. Your role is part of our global strategy to build Nielsen ONE in the market.
This role may require you to lead, direct, and evaluate direct reports to align with overall business strategies and achieve country-level sales goals.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- New Business Development
- Develop sales plans to identify growth opportunities with existing and new clients
- Achieve quarterly/annual sales targets through new business development
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to create an annual media plan that promotes Nielsen as a brand and generates sales leads
- Build relationships across business units and MSGs to identify opportunities and convert sales
- Provide senior leadership involvement in proposal and pitch development
- Sales Strategies
- Analyze sales reports to develop realistic sales pipelines and strategies to meet targets
- Support the development and implementation of competitive sales pricing and marketing
- Create and manage strategies to enhance client relationships and support client requirements
- Drive marketing and rollout strategies for new product introductions
- Client Engagement
- Develop strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Work with Nielsen teams to maximize their impact on accounts and drive retention and upselling opportunities
- Understand Nielsen Audience Measurement solutions and other relevant products to provide clients with valuable insights
- Create and deliver clear and compelling client presentations
- Bring different media solutions and teams together to tell an impactful Nielsen story
- Collaborate with regional/global teams to ensure the right portfolio is available to clients
- Identify mutually beneficial opportunities to partner with clients
- Provide feedback on service developments to meet client needs
- Encourage greater usage of Nielsen solutions by clients
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Bachelor's Degree or above in Business, Marketing, or Communications
- Minimum 8-10 years of media experience, preferably in sales or marketing roles from the media agencies or advertisers industry, with understanding of research, media, advertising, and/or marketing in the Malaysia market
- Strong network within the media, agencies, or advertisers industry
- Experience in developing strategic sales plans and executing them successfully
- Leadership experience in navigating challenging situations and driving desired business results
- Consultative selling skills, including pre-call discovery, proposal drafting, and deal closing
- Experience in a 'matrix' style environment is a plus
- Knowledge of Salesforce tool and Nielsen Audience Measurement products is an advantage
- Sales-driven mindset to achieve or exceed targets
- Team player with a positive attitude and ability to work well with others
- Commercial acumen in proposing and negotiating solutions
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills
- Well-organized with good planning and prioritization abilities
- Proficient in Gmail, Google Docs, Google Slides, and other Google Suite Applications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English
