Job Responsibilities :
As an IT sales executive, you'll need to:
· speak to customers, either face to face or over the phone.
· carry out cold-calling in order to create interest in products and services, generate new business leads and arrange meetings.
· meet sales targets and profit margin set by managers and contribute to team targets.
· identify and develop new business through networking and follow-up courtesy calls.
· network with existing customers in order to maintain links and promote additional products and upgrades.
· monitoring the market latest environment and realign with the sales and fine tune the marketing strategies.
· develop effective sales plans using sales methodology.
· market and promote a portfolio of products by writing and designing sales literature and attending industry events.
· manage workload in order to organise and prioritise daily and weekly goals.
· ensuring each task assigned is well managed and completed in given time.
· respond to tender documents, proposals, reports and supporting literature.
· gain an understanding of customers' specific business needs and apply product knowledge to meet them.
· maintain awareness and keep abreast of constantly changing software and hardware systems and peripherals.
· provide technical advice to customers on all aspects of the installation and use of computer systems and networks, both before and after the sale.
· advise on software features and how they can be applied to assist in a variety of contexts such as accounting, manufacturing or other specialist areas.
· handle hardware or software problems and faults, referring on to specialist technical colleagues where appropriate.
· contribute to team or progress meetings to update and inform colleagues.
· meet suppliers and product vendor to foster working relationship.
· deliver add hoc task with sales related which assigned by management.
· earn certification and take additional courses to demonstrate your willingness to learn at work, and to enhance the skills and abilities.

Qualifications
1) Senior Sales : minimum of at least 3 years & above sales experience in IT hardware / infrastructure industry.
2) Junior Sales : minimum of at least 1 year above sales experience in IT hardware / infrastructure industry.
3) Fresh graduate Sales : no have any sales experiences relevant in IT hardware / Infrastructure industry.
This area of work is open to all graduates, but a degree or advance diploma in one of the following subjects may be particularly useful:
· business information systems or technology
· business management
· computer science, software engineering or computer engineering
· electronics
· mathematics
· physics.
While a relevant degree is not always essential, subjects with high technical content, or a business management component, may be favoured by employers.
Having a retail background can help you get into a job selling IT hardware or software to the retail industry.
A pre-entry postgraduate qualification is not essential, but a diploma or Masters in computing may be helpful for those without computing knowledge.
Salary :
· Starting salaries for IT sales professionals are around RM2,200 to RM2,800.
· With experience your salary can rise to between RM3,000 and RM4,500.
· At senior sales level, you can earn up to RM5,000, or more.
