Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy that includes routine, preventative, and predictive maintenance for all plant equipment and infrastructure.
- Oversee the maintenance team, scheduling work and assigning tasks to ensure that maintenance activities are completed timely and efficiently.
- Monitor the condition of equipment and infrastructure, implementing corrective measures and upgrades as needed to improve reliability and performance.
- Manage maintenance budgets and cost control measures, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
- Collaborate with other departments, including production and safety, to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize downtime.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers for the procurement of parts and services.
- Implement and manage a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track equipment performance, maintenance schedules, and inventory.
- Lead, train, and develop maintenance staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Prepare and present reports on maintenance operations and progress to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance management, preferably in a sulfuric acid manufacturing, or glass manufacturing or chemical processing environment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as process control and instrumentation.
- Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8am - 5pm)
