Data Governance/Data Quality Consultant (Associate/Consultant/Senior depending on experiences)

Data Governance/Data Quality Consultant will be responsible for designing end to end data governance structure for certain report/process. This individual will liaise with the business owners and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of quality products within the expected timeframes. This individual must demonstrate subject matter understanding ability to perform business/systems analysis and create documentation to ensure that our development solutions are successfully implemented. This individual must be able to work under minimal direction while keeping management and team members apprised of issues and project status.

Primary Responsibilities

Collaborate with clients, partner organizations, development and testing teams on the entire book of work
Work with the Business teams to gather detailed, accurate and specific data requirements
Execute data lineage, design data quality controls and prepare functional and technical specifications documents. Work closely with developers to ensure that they understand the specifications and deliver solutions for these specifications
Data analysis; data mapping, definition, quality controls, etc.
Participate/Initiate data quality efforts working closely with key stakeholders to design, develop and deploy process redesign, and tool implementation, where needed.
Work onsite or on virtual project teams that frequently include team resources from different region or country

Qualifications

At least 1-2 years related experience in financial services technical/ data projects.
Past experience with data fabric, data governance, data management, business glossary, data dictionary, data lineage, metadata & data quality would be a plus.
Understanding of Operational Data Store, Data Lake and Data Warehouse
Ability to understand Data Sourcing / Data Ingestion Requirements
Ability to understand Data Transformation, Data Mappings, Data Model, Normalization (& De Normalization)
Good knowledge of Banking, Securities and Insurance industry is value add
Proficiency in SQL or data analytics or metadata analysis is expected
Data & business analysis skills – Familiarity with data feeds, mapping documents, data specification documents. Ability to trace data elements through their lineage and transformation as data elements move through systems.
Ability to conduct Gap analysis, Impact analysis and system analysis with a high standard of proficiency on defined projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Strong communication skills with an ability to facilitate communication between internal and external resources both locally and off-shore

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required
