COFFEE BARISTA

Position Overview:

The Coffee Barista will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks and other beverages, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires a love for coffee, a knack for multitasking, and a commitment to creating a positive experience for every customer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coffee Preparation: Brew, prepare, and serve a variety of coffee drinks, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and other specialty beverages, following established recipes and techniques.
• Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, take orders, and provide recommendations based on their preferences. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns.
• Quality Control: Ensure the quality and consistency of coffee and beverages, including maintaining equipment and adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
• Workspace Maintenance: Keep the coffee bar and work area clean, organized, and well-stocked with supplies. Follow procedures for cleaning and maintaining coffee equipment.
• Cash Handling: Process transactions accurately, including handling cash and credit card payments. Ensure all cash register procedures are followed.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other baristas and staff to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 1-2 years of working experience as a barista or in a customer service role.
• Skills: Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment is a plus. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Attitude: A passion for coffee and a friendly, positive attitude towards customers and colleagues.
• Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to Detail: Attention to detail in both beverage preparation and customer service.
