Job Description: Wireman
Overview:
A Wireman is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and understanding of electrical codes and safety practices.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation:
• Install electrical wiring, circuits, and fixtures according to blueprints and specifications.
• Set up control systems and electrical panels.
2. Maintenance and Repairs:
• Conduct routine inspections and testing of electrical systems to identify issues of machinery.
• Perform repairs on faulty wiring, outlets, switches, and other electrical components.
3. Troubleshooting:
• Diagnose electrical problems using specialized testing equipment.
• Implement effective solutions to restore proper function and safety.
4. Compliance:
• Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes and regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and inspections.
5. Safety Practices:
• Adhere to safety protocols to minimize risks associated with electrical work.
