Decent flexibility for remote Software Engineers
I've been with XETRON SOLUTION for about two years as a Software Engineer. The work flexibility is pretty good, especially for remote folks, but it's not perfect across the board. The company's in the tech industry.
As a Software Engineer working remotely from Austin, I really appreciate the work-from-home options. There's a good amount of flexibility to adjust your start and end times, which helps a lot with personal appointments. It's a solid perk for technical roles, letting you manage your day.
Sometimes, getting approval for significant schedule changes can be a bit slow, especially when it involves team dependencies. Not all teams in this mid-sized tech company offer the same level of flexibility; some still prefer more onsite presence. The company could definitely improve how they communicate flexible work policies to managers.
Try to standardize flexible work policies across all departments. Make sure all managers are trained on how to properly implement and communicate these options, especially for our remote employees and technical roles.
