Decent place, but culture has changed
I've worked as a Software Engineer at Celeron Computer System for a few years now. It's been an okay experience overall, but the company culture definitely isn't what it used to be. It feels more corporate and less agile these days.
The teams are generally supportive and pretty smart. For a big tech company, they do a good job with new hire onboarding. You can learn a lot in software development if you're proactive.
The culture has become pretty stiff over the last year or so. There's not much work-life balance for Software Engineer roles, especially with crunch times. They also push for more onsite days in the Austin, TX office, which isn't great for flexibility.
Try to bring back some of the old startup vibe and trust your employees more. Give teams more autonomy and flexibility, especially with hybrid work schedules. It feels like we're losing touch with what made Celeron good.
