Job Introduction
The Production Operator is responsible for operating production machinery, performing production processes, maintaining product quality, and ensuring production targets are achieved while complying with the Company's safety, quality, and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production machines and equipment according to established work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Perform production activities according to the daily production schedule.
- Ensure products meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Carry out visual inspections and report any defects or abnormalities immediately.
- Record production data accurately, including output, downtime, and rejected products where required.
- Perform basic machine cleaning and routine housekeeping to maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety rules, company policies, and quality requirements at all times.
- Report machine breakdowns, safety hazards, or production issues to the Line Leader or Supervisor promptly.
- Assist in machine setup, material preparation, packing, labeling, or other production-related activities as assigned.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and other operational improvement activities.
- Work cooperatively with supervisors, line leaders, maintenance personnel, QA, and other departments to achieve production objectives.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Supervisor from time to time.
Job Requirements
Education
- Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.
Experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
- Experience operating production machinery is preferred but not mandatory.
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic understanding of manufacturing or production processes.
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
- Good attention to detail and quality awareness.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Good discipline, punctuality, and attendance.
- Willing to work shifts, overtime, weekends, or public holidays when required.
