This role partners with business stakeholders, engineering disciplines, and IT to deliver governed, searchable, and trusted digital asset data and documents—integrated with upstream/downstream systems (e.g., E3D, P&ID, AVEVA ERM/AIM, EDMS/DMS, CMMS, and ERP).
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design and Delivery
- Translate business requirements into AIM configurations, metadata models, and workflows.
- Configure AIM Projects, Object Types, Classes, Attributes, Taxonomies, and Security.
- Design and implement document/data ingestion pipelines (bulk load, transmittals, API-based).
- Set up search facets, saved searches, dashboards, and reports for end users.
- Define and implement governance: naming/tagging conventions, revision/control, status codes.
Administration and Operations
- Install, upgrade, and patch AIM environments; manage environments (DEV/TEST/PROD).
- Administer users/roles/permissions; integrate with SSO/LDAP/AD.
- Monitor performance, indexing, storage, and archival; tune for scale and resiliency.
- Own backup/restore, disaster recovery procedures, and routine health checks.
- Create and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and environment documentation.
Integration and Data Quality
- Integrate AIM with AVEVA tools (E3D, P&ID via SMM/3D Integrator, Engineering Data Warehouse) and third-party systems (EDMS, SharePoint, CMMS like SAP PM/Maximo, ERP).
- Build/maintain connectors, APIs, and ETL scripts; define canonical data mappings.
- Execute data migration/cleansing, deduplication, and metadata enrichment initiatives.
- Implement validation rules, QA checks, and exception handling for ingestion.
Enablement and Support
- Provide L2/L3 support, problem root-cause analysis, and defect resolution.
- Deliver user training, onboarding, quick reference guides, and best-practice playbooks.
- Champion adoption through demos, roadshows, and stakeholder engagement.
Governance and Delivery Excellence
- Contribute to standards, templates, and accelerators for repeatable deployments.
- Apply CI/CD practices to utilities and configurations (version control, packaging, releases).
- Track KPIs (search success rate, time-to-retrieve, ingestion SLAs, data completeness).
- Ensure compliance with information security and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5–8+ years of experience with AVEVA AIM (or AVEVA NET) in implementation/administration roles.
- Hands-on with:
- AIM configuration: metadata models, class libraries, attributes, security, workflows.
- Data/document ingestion: loaders, transmittals, bulk import, OCR/metadata extraction.
- Integrations: REST APIs, AVEVA connectors, scripting (PowerShell/Python/C#), ETL tools.
- Identity and access management: AD/LDAP, SSO (SAML/OIDC).
- Environment management: installation, upgrades, patches, performance tuning.
- Strong understanding of asset lifecycle and engineering information (tags, documents, revisions, WBS, discipline data).
- Proven experience in data migration, quality rules, and governance frameworks.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and stakeholder communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience integrating AIM with:
- AVEVA E3D, P&ID (via SMM/3D Integrator), ERM/AIM modules, and Engineering Data Warehouse.

Soft Skills
- Client-facing consulting presence; ability to translate needs into solutions.
- Structured documentation and clear communication.
- Ownership mindset with proactive risk/issue management.
