Fast-Paced But Good Vibe at Sprout

Working at Sprout Solutions is pretty demanding for an HR tech company. The Manila office has a good buzz, but sometimes it's hard to keep up.

Pros

The teams are really close and collaborative. As a Client Success Manager, it's easy to get help from colleagues. There are always fun activities happening, which is cool.

Cons

The workload can get intense really fast. You'll often find yourself working extra hours, even with the hybrid model. It can be tough to just disconnect after work.

Advice to Management

Maybe look into better workload distribution across teams. Promote actual downtime, not just talk about it.

Great Place for Growth in HR Tech
Pros: As a Software Engineer in the HR tech industry, I've found Sprout Solutions to be a great place for professional development. There's a strong emphasis on learning and growth, with supportive colleagues and management. The flexible work environment is fantastic, allowing for a good work-life balance. It's a stable company with interesting projects.
Cons: Sometimes, internal approval processes can slow things down, impacting project timelines a bit. I also wish there was more transparency around long-term promotion paths for career growth.
Advice to Management: Focus on streamlining internal approval processes and provide clearer, more transparent long-term promotion paths for employees, especially within engineering.

Great Place for Software Engineers in HR Tech
Pros: I've really enjoyed my time as a Software Engineer at Sprout Solutions. The team is incredibly supportive, making it a great environment for learning and professional growth within the HR software industry. Our leadership team genuinely promotes a collaborative company culture and is invested in employee development. It's a stable tech company with a pretty good work-life balance, especially for a Manila-based software firm, which is a big plus. We're always working on interesting challenges.
Cons: While it's a generally positive workplace, internal communication could sometimes be more streamlined, especially regarding cross-departmental project updates. As a growing tech company, some administrative approval processes can feel a bit slow. Also, I'd appreciate more clarity on career progression and promotion pathways for software development roles. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's something they could improve.
Advice to Management: Continue to invest in leadership training, especially around clear communication and transparent career pathing. Streamlining administrative approval processes would also greatly benefit scaling teams.

Decent pay, but benefits could improve
Pros: The base salary for us software engineers was pretty good, especially for the HR software industry here in Manila. They offer a pretty solid HMO plan, which is a big plus.
Cons: I felt the other benefits were just okay, not really standing out for a tech startup. Things like gym memberships or more extensive professional development funds for engineering roles weren't really there.
Advice to Management: Maybe look into expanding the benefits package a bit, especially for long-term employees. More perks could really help with retention in the competitive tech market.
