Hybrid Model Has Its Ups and Downs
JPMorganChase has a pretty standard hybrid setup. It's okay, but don't expect full remote work if you're a Software Engineer here. The RTO policy can be a real drag on work-life balance.
Some teams offer decent flexibility if you've got a good manager. It's nice to see colleagues in person a couple of days a week, especially for collaboration on complex tech projects.
The company's push for mandated RTO (Return to Office) is tough, especially for Software Engineers who joined expecting more remote options. It feels like flexibility is shrinking across the financial services industry, not growing. It's often 3 days in office, no real choice there.
Re-evaluate the rigid RTO policy. True flexibility would really help morale and talent retention, especially for skilled tech roles. Trust your teams more.
