Position Purpose
Working directly under the Technical Manager, the Technical Project Manager is responsible for the structured execution, timeline management, and successful delivery of customer-facing software projects from project initiation through to release. This role focuses on delivery governance: turning defined technical proposals into operational reality.
The Technical Project Manager serves as the primary operational bridge between global clients and the delivery team. This role requires an outcome-focused professional with an exceptional sense of accountability, excellent cross-cultural communication skills, and a proactive approach to risk mitigation. You will keep engineering, QA, and UX teams aligned across regions, ensuring all deliverables meet strict quality and time standards.
Job Requirements
Education & Experience
- Experience: 5+ years of dedicated project management experience within software development outsourcing, IT consulting, or remote delivery environments.
- Methodology: Deep, practical expertise in Agile and Scrum methodologies, project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence), and delivery frameworks.
- Context: Proven track record of successfully managing client-facing projects with international stakeholders. Experience with projects involving hardware integrations or the Pro-AV sector is a distinct advantage.
- AI-Enabled Delivery: Experience leveraging AI-assisted tools to improve planning, documentation, reporting and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning, Delivery Governance & Execution
- Timeline Ownership: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of custom software projects, driving the team to hit strict milestones, sprint goals, and deployment deadlines.
- Translating Requirements: Understanding and translating requirements within the Discovery Phase.
- Delivery Planning: Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, schedules. Release plans and delivery roadmaps.
- Project Governance: Monitor overall project health through regular reporting, milestone tracking, risk management and delivery reviews.
- Project Structure: Create and maintain, project boards, Epics, Features, User Stories, Releases and versions, ensuring work remains structured, traceable and aligned to delivery plans.
- Backlog Management: Maintain and prioritise project backlogs to accurately reflect project scope, priorities and delivery progress.
- Resource Optimization: Partner with the Technical Manager to monitor capacity planning, utilization, and daily task allocation across engineering teams.
- Workflow Efficiency: Coordinate closely across Engineering, UI/UX, and QA teams to remove blockers, streamline handoffs, and keep execution smooth.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Voice of the Client: Act as the primary internal advocate for external customer expectations, ensuring the engineering team remains strictly aligned with client priorities, delivery expectations, and agreed business outcomes.
- Clear Communication: Handle day-to-day operational updates for key international clients, confidently translating complex technical engineering updates into professional, transparent, and easy to digest progress reports.
- Delivery Cadence & Client Updates: Establish structured, predictable communication loops with external stakeholders, ensuring clients have complete visibility over project health, timeline tracking, resource constraints, and upcoming milestone achievements.
- Scope Control & Commercial Protection: Monitor active delivery against agreed external Statements of Work (SOWs), ensuring any shifting client requirements or scope drift are proactively identified, documented, and commercially communicated early to protect project timelines and delivery margins.
- Issue Escalation & Resolution: Serve as the first line of defense for external client concerns regarding delivery timelines or project execution, working rapidly with the local Technical Manager to implement engineering fixes before issues escalate.
Risk Management & Contingency Planning
- Proactive Mitigation: Anticipate project bottlenecks, resource constraints, or timeline threats well before they impact delivery.
- Contingency Strategy: Work collaboratively with the Technical Manager to develop practical solutions for project risks, minimizing impact on client timelines.
- Compliance: Ensure all project workflows adhere to organizational standards, security policies, and client compliance requirements.
Leadership & Team Accountability
- Performance Cadence: Foster a culture of high performance and mutual accountability across geographically distributed delivery teams (including Europe, Australia, and the US).
- Expectation Setting: Clarify delivery standards, quality metrics, and working rhythms for cross-functional team members.
- Clear Reporting: Structure internal updates that keep executive leadership, P&C, and delivery managers aligned on project health.
Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
- Release Standards: Collaborate with QA leads to enforce rigorous validation and testing processes before any client delivery or release.
- Process Enhancement: Run constructive retrospectives at the project level to identify development inefficiencies and implement practical improvements in team performance.
- Delivery Optimisation: Identify recurring delivery bottlenecks, inefficiencies and process gaps, and recommend practical improvements to enhance delivery predictability. Quality and team effectiveness.
- Operational Excellence: Partner with the Technical Manager to evolve InspireX’s delivery methodologies, standards, and best practices.
- Delivery Enablement: Champion improvements to project management tooling, reporting, automation and AI-assisted delivery practices that enable delivery teams to focus on high-value work.
