Hybrid work is okay, but could be better.
The work flexibility at singdata is just okay. We're on a hybrid schedule, which has its ups and downs. It's not bad for the data analytics industry, but I've definitely seen better WFH setups.
I liked the hybrid model initially. It let me work remote from Austin, TX a couple days a week. For a tech startup, it's pretty decent. There's some flexibility if you need to adjust your schedule for appointments.
The "in-office" days feel pretty strict, even as a Data Analyst. Sometimes it feels like they don't trust WFH for data roles. It's tough if you have an emergency; managers aren't always understanding about last-minute changes.
Really listen to what employees need for flexibility. More trust in remote work, especially for data roles, would make a big difference.
