Pros: There's always steady work in aviation maintenance, which is good for job security. The team is usually pretty solid, and you learn a lot working on different aircraft types daily. Pay is decent for the MRO industry, which helps.
Cons: Work-life balance is really tough here. Overtime is mandatory often, sometimes with short notice, making it hard to plan anything. As an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, you're pretty much stuck with limited flexibility. It can feel like just a number in this large corporate environment.
Advice to Management: Try to manage project timelines better to reduce unexpected mandatory overtime for the aviation maintenance crews. A little more predictability would significantly improve work-life balance.
