Pay is okay, but benefits could be better
Pros: As a Restaurant Manager for this corporate food and beverage group in Hong Kong, there's definitely job stability. You get basic health insurance and an MPF, which is standard. Plus, staff meals are a decent perk, especially when working those long shifts.
Cons: The pay for a Restaurant Manager is really just okay, maybe even a bit low for Hong Kong F&B. I've seen better salary packages elsewhere in the catering industry. Annual bonuses aren't amazing, and there aren't many extra benefits beyond the basics.
Advice to Management: Management should seriously review compensation packages to attract and retain talent in the competitive Hong Kong F&B market. Better pay and more comprehensive benefits would really help.

Tough Hours for F&B, Decent Benefits
Pros: You get solid medical and dental benefits. There's good job security given it's a huge F&B group. It's a stable company if you can handle the intensity.
Cons: Work-life balance is a real challenge for Restaurant Manager roles. Expect a 6-day work week and often 10-12 hour shifts. It's tough to have a personal life outside of work.
Advice to Management: Try to implement more reasonable shift rotations and consider a 5-day work week for senior F&B staff. It would really help with staff retention.
