Leadership is a mixed bag here
Pros: As an HR Generalist at Solomon HR, I got to work on some interesting client projects within the HR consulting industry. Senior team leads in the Hong Kong office were good about sharing knowledge and offering mentorship, which was really helpful for my growth. The benefits package was also pretty solid for a mid-sized firm.
Cons: However, actual leadership from the top was often inconsistent. It felt like we'd get a new direction every few months, which made it tough to plan long-term projects or feel secure in our roles. There was also a bit of micromanagement, especially on smaller tasks, which I didn't love.
Advice to Management: Focus on creating a clear, stable vision for the company. Empower your team leads and try to trust your employees more; micromanaging doesn't help anyone.

Hybrid model exists, but don't expect much more.
Pros: They offer a hybrid model for human resources roles, which is a plus for some. You can typically work from home a couple of days a week, if your team allows it. For an HR consulting firm in New York, that's at least a start.
Cons: True work flexibility is pretty limited though. As an HR Generalist, I found the onsite requirements fairly rigid, making real WFH tough for certain tasks. It's not a fully WFH friendly environment for all positions at Solomon HR Solution Limited.
Advice to Management: Consider offering more genuine flexibility, especially for corporate support roles like HR Generalists. Trust your employees more with WFH options beyond the rigid hybrid schedule.

Okay Pay, Benefits Could Use a Boost
Pros: As a Recruitment Consultant, the base pay is actually pretty solid, especially for the human resources industry. We usually get a decent commission structure too if you hit your numbers. It's competitive for a mid-sized HR consulting firm.
Cons: But the benefits package isn't great. The health insurance is pretty basic, and there's no real retirement match, which is a bummer. Other companies in the London office market offer way more perks.
Advice to Management: Definitely review the benefits package. Better health plans and a solid retirement contribution would really help with retention for Recruitment Consultant staff. It's a key area for a mid-sized HR consulting firm.
