Work-Life at OOCL Logistics Can Be Tricky
Pros: You get solid benefits and paid holidays, which is nice. Some teams in the Long Beach office do have good managers. For a Logistics Coordinator, there's definitely job stability in the freight forwarding industry.
Cons: Work-life balance here isn't always easy. During peak seasons, especially for global supply chain, you're working more than 40 hours. There's not much WFH option for operations roles either.
Advice to Management: Management needs to find ways to better support their operations teams during high-volume periods. It would help a lot with burnout and employee retention.

Pay Is Okay, Benefits Are Standard
Pros: The healthcare package here is pretty solid, better than what I've seen at other supply chain management firms. You get decent dental and vision too, which is a plus for any full-time onsite role.
Cons: Salary for a Logistics Coordinator in the Long Beach, CA office isn't super competitive, especially with the cost of living. There's not much room for big raises, so annual bumps are usually pretty small.
Advice to Management: Re-evaluate the salary bands for entry-level and mid-level logistics roles in high cost-of-living areas like Southern California to attract and retain talent.
