Established in 2017, Resolve Foundation is a section 88 charity that has a mission to inspire, empower, connect and amplify the impact of emerging leaders and community changemakers, to drive a more inclusive Hong Kong.
Our signature annual Fellowship program, which intentionally follows an intersectional approach, has now provided structured capacity building and one-to-one mentorship to more than 100 emerging leaders, from all walks of life in Hong Kong. Our innovative Opportunity Fund program has awarded 25 seed grants to our alumni for initiatives that have gone on to reach over 8,000 primary and secondary beneficiaries in disadvantaged local communities. Later this year we will expand our work into local secondary schools, with a pilot leadership program called #StandByMe that covers active bystander intervention for youth.
We also deliver public education and corporate engagement campaigns on furthering inclusive practices, to reach the widest possible audience. To learn more, please visit www.resolvehk.org

Pros: I liked the mission of Resolve Foundation. Working on social impact initiatives in the nonprofit sector was fulfilling. The hybrid work model in the Washington, D.C. office was also a big plus for flexibility.
Cons: Job security for Program Coordinator roles felt really unstable. There were frequent budget cuts affecting staffing, which created a lot of stress. It's tough to plan your career when layoffs are always a possibility.
Advice to Management: Management needs to be more transparent about the foundation's financial health and commit to better job security for its staff.
