Great Flexibility, Supportive Tech Team
Pros: I really enjoy the flexible hybrid work setup as a Software Engineer; it helps a lot with my personal life. My team is super supportive, and there are always opportunities to learn new tech in the software development industry. It's a pretty stable company, which gives me peace of mind.
Cons: The promotion process for engineers feels a bit slow sometimes, and communication across different teams could be smoother, especially with our hybrid model. Getting certain project approvals can also take longer than ideal.
Advice to Management: Management should try to streamline the promotion process for technical roles and focus on improving communication channels between different project teams, especially for hybrid employees.

Decent Pay for a Startup, Benefits Could Be Better
Pros: The base salary for a junior engineering role here is pretty competitive, especially for a tech startup. My $75k base salary was a decent offer. They do offer some WFH flexibility too, which is nice.
Cons: The health benefits aren't great; high deductibles are tough. Also, the 401k match is pretty low, definitely not what you'd see at larger corporate tech companies. I wish there was more PTO too.
Advice to Management: Focus on improving the benefits package, especially health insurance options and the 401k match. It would really help with employee retention for engineering roles.

Okay flexibility, depends on your team and manager.
Pros: For certain individual contributor roles, like a Software Engineer, you can often work remote a couple of days a week in the hybrid model. It's decent if your direct manager is cool with WFH and you aren't needed in the Seattle office.
Cons: The biggest issue is inconsistency. There's no clear company-wide policy, so work flexibility really varies team-to-team, even within the same tech company. It can be tough if your team has more strict onsite requirements.
Advice to Management: Nex needs a more unified approach to work flexibility across all departments. Give managers clear guidelines instead of making it so discretionary. It would help a lot for employee morale.
