Okay work-life balance for an agency role
Pros: As an Account Manager here, the hybrid work model is a solid perk. You can WFH a few days, which really helps avoid the daily NYC commute. We often try to stick to 40-hour weeks for core work.
Cons: Client deadlines are tough, especially in advertising. Sometimes you're pushing late to get marketing campaigns out. It's not always easy to log off on time, especially for this mid-sized agency.
Advice to Management: Try to shield Account Managers from some of the last-minute client requests to help with overall work-life balance for those in client-facing roles.

Pay is Okay, Benefits Need a Boost Here
Pros: The base salary was pretty decent for a Digital Marketing Specialist in the digital marketing industry. I felt fairly compensated for my day-to-day tasks while working remote from Austin.
Cons: Health insurance premiums are super high, making the overall benefit package less attractive. There aren't many bonus opportunities for mid-level roles at this mid-sized agency either, which can be tough.
Advice to Management: Seriously look at improving the health insurance plans and adding some performance-based bonuses. It would really help with retention and make overall compensation more competitive in the industry.

Leadership is okay, but needs consistency
Pros: Some of the senior leadership team in the NYC office are genuinely supportive, especially for Account Manager roles. They do care about professional development and will give you a chance to lead smaller client campaigns.
Cons: It's tough when you get inconsistent direction from different managers. There's a clear favorite or two, and that impacts how project resources are allocated, which isn't fair to the rest of the digital marketing team.
Advice to Management: Try to ensure all leaders provide consistent guidance and avoid any appearance of favoritism among team members. A more unified approach would really help the hybrid work model succeed.
