Leadership at Activate: room to grow
Pros: I enjoyed the diverse digital marketing projects we took on. As a Project Manager, I felt like my team was really collaborative and we got good work done.
Cons: Leadership communication could be pretty inconsistent. It was tough sometimes to get a clear vision, especially in our hybrid work setup. Decisions felt pretty top-down for a mid-sized tech company, which was frustrating.
Advice to Management: Try to engage more with individual contributors. Clearer communication from the top would really help guide us.

Okay for junior roles, tougher for growth
Pros: It's a decent place for entry-level Software Engineers to learn the ropes. You get exposure to different digital product development projects. The team culture in the Singapore office is pretty chill.
Cons: Career growth for mid-level developers can feel slow. There aren't many clear paths for promotion or new skill development after a certain point. I didn't see much chance to move into senior roles here.
Advice to Management: Management needs to create clearer career progression frameworks for all roles, especially for mid-level engineers. Invest in more training and development programs to help people grow beyond their current positions.

Good projects, but career growth is tough
Pros: You get exposed to a lot of different web development projects, which is solid for skill building. It's a decent spot for junior Software Engineers to gain diverse experience with various tech stacks. The remote work flexibility is also a plus.
Cons: Career growth here is tough. There aren't clear promotion paths or a real system for advancement for technical roles. Mentorship for a Software Engineer is pretty much non-existent, and formal training or skill development programs just aren't a thing at this mid-size tech company.
Advice to Management: Establish clearer career progression paths and offer more formal training or mentorship opportunities for your technical staff. This would really help with employee retention.

Decent stability, but depends on project flow
Pros: As a Frontend Developer, I felt pretty secure most of the time. There's a solid client base for their digital projects. If you're good at web development, you'll probably stick around.
Cons: The project pipeline for new interactive solutions can be inconsistent. That makes job security feel less stable sometimes. Being a mid-sized company, market shifts can hit us hard.
Advice to Management: Try to be more transparent about the project pipeline and future business forecasts. Better communication helps everyone feel more secure in their roles, especially with new interactive solutions.
