Cons: Formal career paths for software development roles are really unclear. It's tough to see how to get promoted or even what skills are needed for the next level. In the Jakarta office, upward mobility feels limited without a lot of self-advocacy.
Advice to Management: Management really needs to set up clear career frameworks for us. Define advancement criteria for software engineers. Also, provide more direct mentorship for junior staff.
