Pros: Some of the senior engineers are really sharp; you can learn a lot from them in the Austin, TX office. The teams themselves are pretty collaborative, which helps get software development projects done even with bumps. We use a pretty solid modern tech stack here.
Cons: Upper management can feel pretty out of touch, especially for engineering teams. It's tough as a Software Engineer when decisions come down that don't make sense for daily work. There's not much transparency from the top, especially regarding our hybrid work model.
Advice to Management: Focus on better communication and actually listen to feedback from individual contributors. Your engineers know what's happening on the ground; empower them more.
