Pay's okay, benefits could be better
Pros: The base salary for a Project Coordinator is pretty standard for a mid-sized corporate in Kuala Lumpur. It's not great, but it's decent enough to get by. We also get EPF contributions, which is standard here.
Cons: Raises are super small, almost non-existent for creative roles. Don't expect big bonuses or yearly increments unless you're management. The benefits package is really basic, no health insurance, just the statutory stuff. No free lunches or anything.
Advice to Management: Seriously review the compensation structure, especially for Project Coordinator roles and other non-management positions. Offering competitive salaries and a better benefits package, like proper health insurance, would significantly improve employee morale and retention. It's tough to retain good talent when the pay isn't keeping up with the industry average in Kuala Lumpur.
