Software Engineer

Growth for junior devs, then it gets tough.
Pros: For new grads or junior developers, there's good initial learning. You pick up skills fast working with our modern tech stack in the San Francisco office. The team is supportive, which helps early career development for Software Engineer roles.
Cons: Career growth is pretty slow once you're past the entry level. There aren't many clear promotion paths for mid-level engineers. It feels like you hit a ceiling quickly, especially for senior technical roles in this mid-sized startup.
Advice to Management: Management needs to create clearer career paths and promotion criteria for all technical roles. Invest in professional development for senior engineers. It would help retain talent in our hybrid work model.
