Pros: The job security for a Production Engineer in the construction industry is pretty solid. You learn a lot about precast concrete manufacturing processes. The team on the factory floor is generally supportive and hardworking.
Cons: Work flexibility is almost non-existent for onsite staff. You're expected to be in the Kuala Lumpur office or at the plant, no WFH options for technical roles. This makes work-life balance a real struggle, especially with project deadlines.
Advice to Management: Consider how even small bits of flexibility could boost morale for onsite employees. Maybe flexible hours or a bit more understanding when personal issues come up would help, especially for those in production.
