Steady Job, But Not Much Movement Here
Pros: Job security is pretty solid, especially for core manufacturing roles like mine as a Production Engineer. You don't really worry about getting let go if you just do your work. It's a stable place within the industrial sector here in Selangor.
Cons: While job security is okay, career growth is super slow. You can stay in the same role for years. There's not much room for advancement, so it feels a bit stagnant if you're looking to climb the corporate ladder quickly. Promotions are rare.
Advice to Management: Management should look into clearer paths for career advancement and internal promotions. It would help retain talent who value growth, especially for long-term employees in key operational roles. More training for new industrial processes could also help.
