Company Reviews

Since its establishment in 1995, Nilai Mayang’s vision has always been to provide high quality products and genuine services in internal and external plastering, brickwork, cement rendering, and concrete work. At Nilai Mayang, our foundation is also based on good customer relationships, we value each and every feedback, support and trust we earn.

As one of the construction supplier companies that has been around for almost 20 years in Malaysia, Nilai Mayang has become a sterling example of a home grown success. In the much difficult and obstacle filled construction industry, we strive to search for a feasible “helper” for the enhancement of quality working progress. The hard work resulted in the development of the reliable NM430™ mortar pump. We did not stop there, we are now also providing several high quality chemical products as construction material additives. In terms of outstanding service, Nilai Mayang has set up 2 branches nationwide, Johor Bahru and Kota Kinabalu. The company is also in the process of setting up a bigger capacity Head Quarter in Puchong, Selangor.

We truly believe that with our vision and foundation, we are moving on the right path to achieve Malaysia’s vision 2020.

Project Engineer

Decent place, but flexibility needs work.
Pros: The team here is super supportive; it makes the long hours on site for civil engineering projects more bearable. There's a decent amount of hands-on experience for a project engineer, which is great for career growth in the industry. The company does provide steady work, so job security feels okay.
Cons: Work flexibility is a major downside. There's almost no WFH option, even for administrative tasks. As a project engineer, you're expected to be onsite most days, which really limits personal time. The management isn't very open to exploring hybrid models, making it tough in the Kuala Lumpur traffic.
Advice to Management: Please reconsider your stance on work flexibility, especially for engineering roles that don't always require physical presence. A hybrid model or even occasional WFH days would greatly boost morale and retention, particularly in the Kuala Lumpur office. Trust your employees more.
