Decent place, but work-life balance can vary

Pros: You learn a lot about sustainability standards and the Malaysian timber industry. The Kuala Lumpur office has a solid team, and there's a good sense of purpose in the work. Benefits are decent for a government-linked organization.
Cons: Work-life balance as a Program Executive often feels like it's hit or miss. Sometimes you're doing 45-50 hour weeks, especially during peak audit periods or when international deadlines hit. Flexibility isn't always there; it's mostly an onsite role.
Advice to Management: Try to manage project loads better for Program Executive roles to avoid burnout. More emphasis on work-life balance would help retention in the Kuala Lumpur office. Show more
