Pros: The hybrid model does offer some relief. We could work from home 2-3 days a week. This was good for avoiding traffic in Kuala Lumpur and helped manage my commute as a Software Engineer.
Cons: Work from home days felt monitored sometimes. There's not much flexibility beyond the set hybrid schedule, which isn't ideal for the fast-paced tech industry. If you needed an extra WFH day, it was often a battle.
Advice to Management: Trust your employees more with remote work. A bit more autonomy on WFH days would go a long way. Consider making the hybrid model more adaptable, especially for engineering teams.
