Decent Security Job, But Prepare for Long Hours
Pros: The pay is okay for a security services company in Kuala Lumpur. They do offer basic benefits, which is a plus. You get to meet different people as a security officer.
Cons: Work-life balance is tough. You're often working 12-hour shifts, sometimes back-to-back, especially when short-staffed. It makes planning personal life hard.
Advice to Management: Try to staff shifts better to avoid constant overtime and long hours for your security personnel. Improving work-life balance would really help morale and retention.

Good folks, but management needs to step up
Pros: The team here, especially other security officers, makes the day go by. Everyone's pretty friendly and we look out for each other, which is solid for the company culture. It's a decent place for entry-level security personnel to get experience in Kuala Lumpur.
Cons: Upper management often feels out of touch with the actual guarding services on the ground. There's not much clear communication about changes or our feedback. You're stuck with long, rigid shifts, so work-life balance isn't really a thing if you're an onsite security guard.
Advice to Management: Listen to your frontline security personnel more. Improve communication channels and recognize the hard work of your security officers. A bit more support goes a long way.

Decent for a start, but pay is tough.
Pros: You always get paid on time, which is a big plus when you're a Security Officer. The basic health benefits package is okay, covering the essentials if you need it.
Cons: The base salary for an onsite Security Officer in Kuala Lumpur is pretty low, even for the security industry. There's not much room for pay raises, so you hit a ceiling fast. Benefits aren't comprehensive beyond the basics.
Advice to Management: Really look at increasing the base pay for Security Officer roles. Improving the benefits package, maybe adding dental or better insurance options, would help retain staff.
