Pros: My direct team leads are pretty solid and always have your back. They're great at helping us navigate complex cybersecurity projects. It's a good environment for a Software Engineer to grow technically.
Cons: Upper management, however, often sets timelines without understanding technical hurdles. This creates a lot of stress for our hybrid workforce in Kuala Lumpur. It's tough when you feel unheard on project scope.
Advice to Management: Focus on bridging the gap between high-level strategy and the day-to-day realities of cybersecurity projects. Getting more involved or trusting your technical leads more would help Software Engineers immensely, especially in our hybrid work setup.
