Leadership needs to connect more with staff
Pros: Some senior managers in the Kuala Lumpur office are actually supportive, especially when you're trying to grow your client portfolio in the competitive life insurance industry. They'll often give good advice if you reach out directly. There's a decent team spirit among colleagues.
Cons: Leadership at the very top feels pretty disconnected. They make decisions without really understanding how it impacts us as Financial Advisors. Communication can be a big issue; sometimes we hear about changes last minute.
Advice to Management: Try to spend more time with the frontline staff. Understand the challenges Financial Advisors face daily instead of just looking at numbers. Improve communication channels.
