Flexibility Varies by Role, Mostly Onsite
Pros: For some of us in engineering, there's a decent hybrid model, which is a big help. I've heard some project managers even get more flexibility. It's a big corporate company, so benefits are solid.
Cons: But as a Manufacturing Engineer, I was mostly onsite in the Nashua, NH office. Work flexibility isn't great if your role is tied to the production floor or specific communications components testing. It felt like my WFH days were pretty limited.
Advice to Management: Consider more flexible options for roles that aren't strictly production-dependent. A little more trust goes a long way for employee morale.

Leadership is okay, but needs improvement.
Pros: I've learned a lot about electronics manufacturing processes here. The pay and benefits are pretty solid for a big corporate company. You get exposure to a lot of different telecom components, which is good experience.
Cons: Leadership often feels out of touch with what's happening on the plant floor. Decisions can be slow, especially for our onsite work in the Chicago, IL plant. There's not much room for junior Manufacturing Engineers to really influence strategy.
Advice to Management: Try to listen more to the team leads and engineers on the ground. Speed up decision-making processes for those of us working with electronics manufacturing daily.

Decent place for an engineer, culture is okay.
Pros: I like the job security here for a Manufacturing Engineer. My engineering teams are generally pretty supportive, which really helps. You get to learn a lot about high-speed data interconnects.
Cons: The corporate culture can feel a bit stuck in the past sometimes. There's not much work flexibility, especially for onsite roles in the Rochester, NY facility. Innovation isn't always a top priority.
Advice to Management: Focus more on empowering teams to innovate and consider more modern approaches to work arrangements, especially for our engineering roles. A little more transparency would go a long way too.
