Pay isn't great, but it's stable
Pros: For a Pharmacy Assistant, the job security here is pretty solid. They always pay on time, which is good for budgeting in the retail pharmacy sector.
Cons: The pay is definitely on the lower side for this type of role in Malaysia. Don't expect big bonuses; the annual increment is pretty minimal too, even for long-term staff.
Advice to Management: Consider reviewing the salary scales for pharmacy assistants. Better compensation could help with staff retention in a competitive market.

Decent for retail pharmacy, but flexibility is tough
Pros: The shifts for us Pharmacists are pretty set, which is kinda nice for personal planning. You know your hours well ahead of time at our local Alpro branches. It's a stable setup in the retail pharmacy industry.
Cons: Work flexibility here isn't great. There's zero work from home (WFH) for my role, or for any pharmacy assistant positions either. It's all onsite, long shifts, and trying to swap often feels like a hassle.
Advice to Management: Consider ways to offer more flexibility, even small things, for your Pharmacist and pharmacy assistant teams. Maybe a rotating weekend off or more predictable scheduling across all branches would help retention.
