Software Engineer

Great Place for FinTech Professionals with Awesome Flexibility
Pros: I've really enjoyed my time here as a Software Engineer at this FinTech company in Singapore. The biggest highlight is definitely the work flexibility. Being able to work hybrid, with a good mix of office and remote days, truly helps with my work-life balance. The team is super supportive, and there are always opportunities to learn new tech and grow professionally. It's a dynamic environment, and you feel like you're contributing to something significant in the wealth management industry.
Cons: While the growth opportunities are there, the promotion process can sometimes feel a bit slow or less transparent than I'd like. Also, with the fast pace of the FinTech industry, there are periods where project deadlines can lead to intense sprints, which can occasionally impact the otherwise excellent work-life balance. Some internal communication could be streamlined too for better project flow.
Advice to Management: Focus on making the promotion criteria clearer and more transparent for all roles. Also, streamlining internal communication channels could help reduce friction during high-pressure project cycles, ensuring the excellent work-life balance remains consistent.

StashAway's work-life balance is okay, but demanding
Pros: As a Client Experience Associate in the Singapore office, I appreciate the hybrid work model. It's nice to have some flexibility with WFH days. For a FinTech company, they do try to keep things reasonable most of the time.
Cons: Work-life balance can definitely be tough during busy periods, especially month-end. There's pressure to hit metrics, which sometimes means longer hours. You might find yourself checking emails on weekends.
Advice to Management: Leadership should really look at staffing levels to prevent burnout, especially for client-facing roles. Setting clearer boundaries on after-hours communication would help a lot.
