Pay's Okay, Benefits Could Be Better
Pros: The base salary for a Software Engineer here is pretty competitive for the Kuala Lumpur tech industry. You can get a decent offer if you negotiate well. They do pay on time, which is good.
Cons: The benefits package isn't great, especially compared to bigger tech companies. There aren't many perks beyond the basics, like medical insurance. Don't expect a lot of extras or a stellar retirement plan, which is tough for long-term career planning in this IT consulting space.
Advice to Management: Look into improving the overall benefits package. Things like better health coverage, more competitive retirement options, or even simple wellness programs would really help with employee retention.
