Hybrid is okay, but needs consistency
Pros: They do offer a hybrid work model, which is a good start. For a Project Engineer, having those WFH days helps balance things out, even if they're limited.
Cons: However, it's really manager-dependent. Being onsite is often required for our manufacturing projects in Kuala Lumpur, so true flexibility isn't always there for engineering teams. It's tough.
Advice to Management: Standardize the hybrid policy across all departments, especially for technical roles like Project Engineering. Make sure all managers are aligned and support flexible work arrangements consistently.

Leadership needs to step up, but it's okay
Pros: I've learned a ton about manufacturing processes as a Junior Manufacturing Engineer. The team on the ground is solid, always ready to help out. Pay is decent for the industry in Kuala Lumpur.
Cons: Leadership often makes decisions without understanding the daily operations on the factory floor. There's not much room for career growth if you're not in the 'inner circle' and senior management sometimes lacks vision for future industrial technology.
Advice to Management: Listen more to the engineering teams on the factory floor. They know the challenges firsthand. Invest in employee development and clear career paths for technical roles.

Solid Team, But Culture is Old School
Pros: The team I worked with was really supportive, especially in the Kuala Lumpur office. We often helped each other out on projects. It's a stable company, good for job security in the manufacturing industry.
Cons: Things move really slow here. Innovation isn't a huge priority for management, which can be frustrating for engineers wanting to implement new ideas. The culture can feel a bit old-fashioned and resistant to change.
Advice to Management: Management should really consider being more open to new ideas and modernizing some processes. Empowering employees to innovate would make a big difference for company culture.
