Leadership has its moments, needs more consistency
Pros: Some team leads are genuinely supportive and really help you grow in your role as a Customer Support Specialist. They do a solid job coaching on how to handle different telecommunications solutions. It's good when you get a manager who champions your work.
Cons: Upper management often feels disconnected from the day-to-day work in the Kuala Lumpur office. There's not enough clear communication or consistent vision from the top, making it tough to know where things are headed. Decision-making can be really slow, especially for new projects.
Advice to Management: Try to bridge the gap between upper management and the front-line teams. More consistent communication and clearer strategic direction would make a huge difference. Also, empower team leads more to make quicker decisions.

Decent colleagues, but management's a bit distant
Pros: My colleagues make coming to work okay. As a Technical Support Engineer, the support from my team for troubleshooting unified communications systems is solid. We help each other out daily here in Kuala Lumpur.
Cons: Management isn't always great at recognizing effort. It's a fairly corporate environment, so things can feel a bit rigid. I wish there was more transparency on company decisions.
Advice to Management: Try to engage more with the teams. Acknowledging good work would go a long way in improving morale.

Decent Pay for Entry-Level UC Roles
Pros: Base salary for a Technical Support Engineer in the unified communications industry is pretty standard. Health benefits are actually decent, which is a big plus here in the Kuala Lumpur office. They cover basic medical well.
Cons: Raises are really slow, and there's no real bonus structure. It's tough to feel appreciated when your pay doesn't move much year to year. You can't expect much beyond your base.
Advice to Management: Seriously consider a clearer path for salary increases and implement some form of performance bonus. It would really help with employee retention and morale.
