Hybrid model is decent, could be more flexible
Pros: Working as a Marketing Coordinator, the hybrid work setup is okay. We get a couple of remote days, which helps avoid the Chicago commute sometimes. It's nice not to be in the office 5 days a week.
Cons: But true work-life balance for CPG marketing roles can be tough. Those 'remote' days often mean late calls. There isn't much flexibility beyond the set hybrid schedule, no real room to shift hours.
Advice to Management: Really look at expanding remote options for some roles. Let teams have more say in their hybrid schedule rather than a fixed one. It'd boost morale and attract more talent in CPG.

Pay is average, but benefits are solid
Pros: The 401k match is pretty good here, especially for the financial services industry. Health insurance plans are solid; they cover a lot, which is a huge plus for employees in the Chicago office.
Cons: Base salary for Account Manager roles isn't super competitive in the market. Raises are often pretty small, so it's tough to really get ahead financially.
Advice to Management: Re-evaluate base salaries for client-facing roles like Account Managers. Competitive pay is key to retaining good talent in this market, especially when you've got solid benefits.

Good Start, But Growth Can Be Slow Here
Pros: I learned a ton about digital marketing and client relations as an Account Manager. The New York City office environment is pretty friendly, and I liked the hybrid work model. You get to work on some decent campaigns with big clients.
Cons: Career growth is really tough for advertising roles unless you push hard. There isn't a clear path for promotions, especially in this mid-sized corporate structure. It's easy to get stuck at the same level for a while.
Advice to Management: Establish clearer career progression paths for employees, especially for junior and mid-level advertising roles. More mentorship programs would also help people grow within the company.
