Stable, Good for Entry-Level Quantity Surveying
Pros: It's a pretty stable company for a career in construction consultancy. You get solid project experience in the Kuala Lumpur office, which is good for your resume as a Quantity Surveyor. Job security here feels generally decent.
Cons: Pay raises can be a bit slow compared to other firms in the industry. Sometimes the project deadlines mean long hours, which isn't great for work-life balance, and there's not much work flexibility.
Advice to Management: Management should look into more competitive salary reviews to retain talent. Also, try to better support work-life balance for project teams during peak periods.

Pay and Benefits are Just Okay Here
Pros: They do provide the standard benefits like EPF and SOCSO, which is important in Malaysia. My basic health insurance was decent, covering some medical needs. For new Quantity Surveyor roles, the starting salary isn't terrible to get your foot in the construction industry.
Cons: The annual bonus often felt pretty low, even when we hit project milestones. I noticed that salary progression for a Quantity Surveyor wasn't very fast at this corporate firm. There isn't much flexibility or room for negotiation on the benefit package beyond the basics.
Advice to Management: Focus on making the pay more competitive for experienced Quantity Surveyors. A clearer and better bonus structure would really help with morale and employee retention. Consider enhancing the non-statutory benefits too.
