Pros: My immediate team was really supportive, which helped on tough IT projects. I loved the remote flexibility; it made my work-life balance pretty manageable. They also provide good opportunities for learning new tech skills.
Cons: The company culture felt pretty scattered. It's hard to feel truly connected to the wider mid-sized company as a remote Software Engineer. Leadership could improve communication, sometimes there's a lack of clear direction. Social events are rare.
Advice to Management: Please invest more in building a stronger, more unified company culture. Find better ways to include and connect remote employees beyond just project meetings. Clearer, more consistent communication from the top would also go a long way.
